Course Offerings

SCS900 Certified Training

Course Cost: $1500 USD (10% discount for prepaid)
Length: 2 Days
Course Format: 50% ILT; 50% Field
Prerequisite: General site construction and grade checking
Student Maximum: 12
Student Minimum: 2

Course Description: As a mix of an outdoor and instructor lab training, students will be instructed on the operation of the Trimble SCS900 software using established control points, office and field computers along with field GPS and rover systems (attendees should bring their own field gear). This course is intended for construction contractor field employees involved in grading, stakeout, topographic and volume surveys.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Set up a base and rover
  • Calibrate the site
  • Conduct a topographic survey without a design
  • Use the walking feature in the SCS900
  • Stake out a line proficiently
  • Stake out a level plane proficiently
  • Check the surface grade to a design
  • Review and edit a surface in SCS900
  • Calculate the volume of an existing stockpile
  • Pass the post-assessment with an 80% or better

GCS900 Basics

Course Cost: $750 USD (10% discount for prepaid)
Length: 1 Day
Course Format: 50% ILT; 50% Field
Prerequisite: Basic operator skills
Student Maximum: 5
Student Minimum: 3

Course Description: A mix of class room and hands on field training.  The students will start in the classroom covering the control box and control box options through, the use of emulators.  Once the basics have been covered in the class room Students will go to the field for hands on operator training and field testing.

  • Load Designs

Customer Cancellation Policy

In the event a student must cancel their class reservation, we kindly request a week notice. If proper notice is not given within one week, the student will be assessed a no-show fee of $500 (one-time charge, not per day). If the class is cancelled due to low enrollments or instructor illness, no fees are assessed. Where a special class is scheduled by SITECH and multiple students cancel, a $500 per person cancellation fee will be assessed. In the event you cannot attend class, you always have the option to send another qualified person in place of the person who cannot attend. Please notify our Support Manager, Jonathan Dunlap, by email at jdunlap@sitechsouth.com about this replacement as soon as you are aware of the change.
